the Current
August gave us the courage to cut with a golden scythe, rarely are the dark mothers so nice. Anyone who has worked with, dealt with, or otherwise had the please of meeting the Morrigan & Santa Muerte; they get how this was mother being nice. Grant you the world is in utter chaos, that is not a pleasure we mere mortals have.
We have the Autumn Equinox on the 22nd in Libra, the ruler of the scales of our hearts, why do you think they are Hades’ playthings. But coming out of this Virgo energy where we were busy sorting or harvest, or clearing the things that have died, Libra is really coming in with the scales checking our worth.
August harvested, September accesses the yield.
This isn’t merely you failed to say, but it shows you where the “worth” is actually growing.
We have a Harvest Full Moon in Aries on the 26th.
Remember: distinction matters.
the Threshold
Hecate walked us thru the threshold, we left the offering at the crossroads and NOW we are here, responsible for the possession of our harvest, and/or the lack there of, potentially.
Now we are standing at the gates of fall, the official decent into the bowels of winter, or at least that’s the dramatic version. Who is Hades if not a bit theatrical. But here we hold the abundance in our hands, and yes dead plants are in fact abundance. The hang up is the fact winter is nipping at the heels and the “another year another fuck up” is licking the wound. No I do not think we have time to rip the garden up and start fresh, that is more a July thing.
This is where we ask:
Will this last thru winter?
Will this store thru winter?
Will this become seed for next spring?
Do we have this already growing and this will feed what is there?
the Catch
There is always a catch, isn’t there.
You are no longer able to carry the things that no longer serve you, even if they helped you survive.
This month we really are being shown the mechanics of what was valuable and familiar vs what is necessary and habitual.
The trick is to remember we are serving our future, not what just itches the spot of “comfort”.
the Key
But the key to opening the latch isn’t hard, is it?
We are in a recalibration month, ahhh the scales of Libra. So now is literally the time to throw a Hail Mary into the mix and find the balance of the threshold so we can move into the season of harvest, with enough bounty to sustain us all winter.
This is a title.
